Ramsley Moor is located between Baslow and Dronfield, Derbyshire.
The moor is a bleak but beautiful area in the Peak District and is a good for walking. Close by is Shillito Wood, in which is Shillito Cross, a marker stone for a former pack horse route.
A ruined reservoir is also located on the moor, breached because of the Reservoirs Act 1975, which requires all abandoned large reservoirs to be made safe if there's a chance of them refilling to above the natural level of the surrounding land.
